JUNE 2026 | Lighting the historic bridges in Montpelier was an opportunity to highlight the beauty of the city in a way that feels both timeless and intentional. These structures already carry so much character during the day, but our goal was to enhance their presence at night, bringing forward their architecture, texture, and connection to the surrounding landscape through light.
From the beginning, this project was about balance. We wanted to illuminate the bridges without overpowering them, making sure the lighting felt natural to the environment. Every placement was carefully considered to highlight key architectural details while still preserving the integrity and charm of the structures themselves.
Working in a setting like Montpelier also meant being mindful of the surrounding scenery. The bridges sit within a landscape that already feels peaceful and scenic, so the lighting needed to complement, not compete with, that atmosphere. The result is a soft, warm glow that enhances the view rather than distracts from it.

Projects like this are a reminder of how powerful thoughtful lighting design can be. It’s not just about visibility, it’s about creating emotion, depth, and a sense of place. Seeing the bridges illuminated at night transforms a familiar part of the city into something people can experience in a completely new way.

We’re proud to have been part of bringing this vision to life in Montpelier. It reflects what we aim to do in every project: use light to tell a story, highlight what makes a space unique, and create moments that feel memorable long after the lights are on.
